Website Privacy Policy

What is a Website Privacy Policy and when should you use it?

Any website that requires users to sign up or provide any personal data is required to have a Privacy Policy (also referred to as a Privacy Notice).

This includes eCommerce sites, sites that track users’ behaviour through cookies and even companies that send out occasional newsletters.

Many third-party services used to enhance website performance (like payment processing tools, analytics suites and advertising plug-ins) also require you to have a Privacy Policy.

A website privacy policy explains what kind of personal information you gather from your website visitors, how you use the information and how you keep it safe.

This Privacy Policy is suitable for most private limited companies, online businesses and sole traders regardless of the industry of the business.

It is drafted in simple and concise terms so that it is easy to understand for the end user.
