Release and Disclaimer

What is a release and disclaimer and when should you use it?

If you are involved in the provision of a service like a training course or an event it is always advised to use a release and disclaimer to minimise your liability.

A disclaimer is a statement that denies legal responsibility.

It is extremely useful for businesses to significantly reduce legal risk.

Fundamentally, unless your business provides these warnings or statements, you may be liable for damage suffered.

A release is slightly different in that it releases you from any obligation to perform under the contract.

This is particularly relevant where you are providing training services for example.

This template allows you to do both and has been drafted to do just that.

It can be used a s a standalone statement or can form part of your Terms and Conditions or Client Engagement Documents.
