What is a letter to director regarding S.146 removal and when should you use it?

 

Section 146 of the Companies Act 2014 requires a company, on receipt of special notice of a resolution to remove a director from office, to send a copy of the notice to the director concerned.

This template cover letter explains the removal process to the director concerned as well as explaining the director’s right to make representations against his/her removal.

The letter encloses a copy of the special notice.

The letter should be signed by a director or secretary of the company concerned.
