This employment contract is designed for fixed term employees.
This contract would be suitable for a maternity cover agreement, a paid holiday period placement agreement and/or a finite project-based role
Our template provides you with a very comprehensive employment contract which covers issues such as probation, hours of work, sick pay, holiday entitlements, alcohol and drug use, searches, company cars, disciplinary procedures and non-compete clauses among others.
This contract should be used in conjunction with our Employee Handbook template.
If the hours will be erratic and/or the demand for the worker support will fluctuate, you should use our casual worker contract instead. This is a contract for the engagement of a seasonal workers and people you may want to engage with for particular (typically non-specialist) tasks and projects.
Alternately, if you do not need such direct control and you are less concerned with the role being the guaranteed responsibility of one particular individual, you might instead want to consider a contractor/freelancer and the relevant contract for their engagement.

Along with an employment contract, at any level of the employee career scale, you should have in place employment policies, compliance with which is obligatory for the employee, but the detail of which is not part of the employment contract itself (allowing you to change this content without employee consent, when you need to).
